If a resident needs assistance moving from a bed to a wheelchair, this facility has staff who can help. Riverlodge has more trees around the facility. I wouldn't want to live there right now, but I just thought it was a little better than the other ones we visited. The staff provided more information and I just liked it better. I didn't see activities going on at the time I was there.

It has very wide halls which was good with railings you can hold on to. Everybody was very pleasant when we were there. You can have fully assisted care where nurses would come in. They had one and two bedroom apartments which were a little bit larger.
It was relatively new, very private, and had a lot of activities for them to do. It’s off the road and has lots of trees around. It was a little hilly, so there was no place for somebody like Scott to walk outside too much, but the lobby was wonderful.

Residents are permitted to smoke in certain areas. One of those places is on the patio of the person's apartment--which may adjoin another apartment. If you are a non-smoker you would have no control over what smells drift into your space.

These activities generally allow residents to maintain healthy lifestyles by encouraging movement and socializing with their peers. They have different size rooms. They have one-person rooms and two-person rooms and they have like, kitchenettes. They have personal laundry facilities. They have meals that you can get from the dining room and for an extra fee, they will deliver them to the rooms.

There were a lot of nice things about River Lodge, but that alone would make me want to stay away.
The staff, the ones I met, was very nice. Everybody else who lives there who we know seem to think they were very, very nice. There were a lot of activities. They have movie and game rooms.
The amenities were great, probably the best one as far as what they had. We just felt like they were too big for my parents right now. They answered all of our questions, and they were polite. We did not eat there, but the dining room was nice and open. They offered pill dispensary, a nurse on-staff, and transportation. To provide a caring and enriching atmosphere that meets & exceeds the expectations of our residents while extending compassion, sincerity, and respect.
Mindy and Tiffany are rude, uncaring and disrespectful people. Wouldn’t put my dog in this place, much less my mother. My sister is residing at Riverlodge and is so very happy there. She loves the staff, the activities and the care she receives. I have visited several times and it is always clean with a comfortable atmosphere. It's hard to talk to senior management however.Head nurse has no personality and doesn't seem to care.Office manager has got yelling down to a science! Trying to reason with her is impossible. I am a Lead CNA @ riverlodge and I have been employeed with them for almost 2 years now.
It's truly comforting to know that my parents are safe and so well cared for since my siblings and I live quite far away. My mom has been living in RiverLodge Assisted Living. She complains about the food, but I think everybody in facilities do something that they can complain about, but other than that we have no complaints. There's not a lot of turnovers so she gets to know people, and I would rate them highly. It's a well to fully new facility and she has a one-bedroom and a kitchen, so it's very nice. She complains about the food, but when they weren't shutdown for the quarantine I ate over there and I thought it was very good actually, the variety. They do have activities, but my mother doesn't participate in activities.
Being able to chat with other residents becomes an important part of many peoples' lives and River Lodge Assisted Living offers common spaces indoors to support that need. My son is a resident at RiverLodge Assisted Living. Scott was not really happy there; he didn’t want to be put there. He gets forgotten in his room sometimes. Not that he needed anything, but he needed the interaction with other people. It was a beautiful place, and the director was wonderful.
